Brinton Park

The Heritage Lottery Fund project seeks to recruit, train and organise volunteers of all ages in areas such as gathering and sharing heritage resources, maintaining the woodland areas, supporting biodiversity, creating a regular community newsletter, setting up children’s activities and leading on or supporting events. They were also looking for local groups and organisations with great ideas which could be ideal for the park.

When the Pickup Artists found out about this brilliant opportunity we got in touch with the project team to see how we could get involved.

We now have a group of litter pickers who meet every Thursday evening between 6pm and 7pm to litter pick the park.  We also have individual volunteers who pop along during the day.  They keep a record of times and dates and this is fed back to the project team.

If you would like to litter pick at Brinton Park, please come along on a Thursday evening at 6pm. If you would like to volunteer and come at another time, pop into Twigs, fill out a form and they will loan you equipment.
