Wyre Forest District Council were the first people to recognise the work we were doing for free and completely voluntary. They got in touch and kitted us out with free litter pickers, hoops and bags. As our group grew and we started to tackle different areas they provided us with high visibility vests to keep us safe.
They are always at the end of a phone and will collect our bags of litter quickly and always with a smile from friendly staff. WFDC have also donated towards Junior Pickup Artists groups in school and have taken the time to send in staff to talk to children about litter and the damage it can do to the local environment.
WFDC Enforcement team have also worked with The Pickup Artists on a Spooky Litter Campaign. As a thank you for they gave the group a set of 5 adult litter pickers and 5 children.
